Well Minox Best product Focusing problem

Yes this a tricky focusing mechanism.
What I don't understand is why half the movement of the slider is used to take the focus PAST the point of infinity! ie if you focus on the moon then you still have half the slider's movement left. Thus only half the movement is used - no wonder it is tricky to focus.
I took this up with Minox and eventually their rep rang me and essentially said "it's just the way they are"
